Who is Danielle?
I’m a proud Overland Park, Kansas native with a soft spot for the mountains. A former soccer player turned slow-living enthusiast, I love rainy-day reading, long walks with my husband, and sweet moments with our chocolate lab, Ford. I’m also a big fan of Chiefs football and a cozy night in.
In my work with clients, I offer a gentle, supportive space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. I’ll meet you right where you are — without pressure, without pretense.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, facing challenges in relationships, or working through the mental and emotional pressures of sports performance, we’ll move at your pace. Together, we’ll explore how your experiences, emotions, and connections may be shaping how you feel, think, and relate today.
We’ll slow down, tune in with curiosity—not judgment—and help you feel more grounded in yourself and your relationships. If faith is meaningful to you, we can gently and thoughtfully weave that into our work in a way that feels safe, personal, and true to you.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a focus on Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University, followed by a Master's in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC 04343) in Kansas and currently practice under the supervision of Connie Horosz, LCPC.
My training is rooted in a relational, emotion-focused approach—meaning I help clients explore how their experiences, relationships, and emotions shape the way they feel and connect today. I’ve completed advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), trauma-informed care, and SYMBIS premarital counseling (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts).
These tools allow me to walk alongside teen girls, women, and female athletes as they navigate anxiety, relationship struggles, sport struggles, and the pressures of performance and perfectionism—offering support that is both professional and deeply personal.

The Meaning of Heartwood
Heartwood is the strong, central core of a tree, offering stability and resilience, helping the tree endure. Like the heartwood of a tree, you have a deep, enduring core that can support you through life's storms. When you reconnect with that inner strength, you begin to heal, grow, and transform.
This is the foundation of the space I aim to create.
